πŸŽ‰ **Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month!** πŸŽ‰

Our elementary students celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month through hands-on activities, sensory experiences, music, and fun! Students rotated through stations where they made and tasted fresh salsa, guacamole, corn tortillas, and elote! 🌽πŸ₯‘πŸ…

The celebration continued with music and dancing, trying on sombreros, and learning about Hispanic cultures and traditions. 🎢

It was a fun-filled day of learning, exploring, and celebrating Hispanic heritage and culture! ❀️

As we celebrate Assistant Principal Week, we are honored to recognize and celebrate Mrs. Lora King of the Wayne D. Boshears Center for her remarkable service and lasting impact.
For the past nine years, Mrs. King has served as Assistant Principal with dedication, compassion, and unwavering commitment to students, staff, and families. Her leadership has helped shape a positive and supportive environment where all students are valued and encouraged to succeed. She has been a steady presence, a problem-solver, and a champion for both students and educators.
Mrs. King’s ability to lead with both strength and heart has made a meaningful difference in the daily lives of those around her. Whether supporting staff, celebrating student successes, or navigating challenges with grace, she has consistently gone above and beyond.
As she prepares to retire at the end of this school year, we celebrate not only her years of service, but the legacy she leaves behindβ€”one of kindness, dedication, and excellence in education. The Wayne D. Boshears Center is a better place because of Mrs. King, and she will be deeply missed.

Congratulations, Mrs. King, on a well-deserved retirement, and thank you for nine incredible years of leadership and care.

April 2 – Paraprofessional Appreciation Day Today marks a special occasion where we honor the unsung heroes who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make our classrooms vibrant and supportive. On this Paraprofessional Appreciation Day, I find myself reflecting on the immense impact that Tammy Hambric and Kierra Mallard have on our school community. Tammy, with her constant enthusiasm and infectious energy, embodies the essence of the Upbeat Award. Her presence alone lifts spirits and inspires all who are around her. She brings a level of positivity that is simply unmatched, and it is a joy to watch her work with the students, creating an environment full of hope and laughter. Kierra, on the other hand, exemplifies the calm, steady reassurance that is the hallmark of the Easy Going Award. Her gentle nature and flexibility make her a calming force in the classroom, helping students navigate their day with ease and confidence. She knows exactly when to step in and when to give space, always ensuring that every student feels heard and supported. To show my gratitude, I gave them both small tokens of appreciationβ€”reminders of how much they are loved and valued. Their contributions to our classroom are immeasurable, and I am thankful every day for their hard work and unwavering support. Today, I celebrate them, but truly, every day is a celebration of all they do for our students, our school, and me. πŸ’™
