Student doing art

The Wayne D. Boshears Center is proud to showcase student artwork at this year’s Tyler ISD ArtsFest, happening Saturday, April 25th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This exciting community event highlights the creativity and talents of students across the district.

Student doing art

Students at Boshears had the opportunity to engage in hands-on, process-based art experiences that encouraged exploration and self-expression. Their work was created using a variety of unique techniques, including dipping yarn into paint and dragging it across canvas, creating nature-inspired collages, splattering paint with fly swatters, painting with balloons, using rubber bands for texture, and finger painting.

Throughout the creative process, students explored vibrant color combinations and experimented with different ways to apply paint. These experiences supported sensory exploration, creativity, and independence, allowing each student to create artwork that reflects their individuality.
