Our goal in establishing criteria is to ensure your child is prepared for the rigorous and challenging curriculum we offer. Below are the required scores and grades that meet our criteria.
If your child does not meet ALL of the criteria, we still recommend applying.
Reading STAAR
4th Grade Scale Score: 1590
(29 Raw Score)
Math STAAR
4th Grade Scale Score: 1622
(26 Raw Score)
Teacher Evaluation
98 or Above
Report Card
4th & 5th Grade Report Card:
90 or Above

To apply, you must complete the following forms. You are responsible for having the school complete their forms to complete your application.
NOTE: You must complete an application for each child applying.

Please have your child's 5th grade teacher complete this form.
NOTE: If using a printed application, students will NOT be allowed to return the evaluation forms to the elementary office.

Have your elementary school counselor complete this form, which includes the following information:
4th Grade STAAR Reading & Math Scores
AND
Past 2 Years' Core Classes Report Card Grades

If you are using the printed application, please put all three forms in the order listed inside the red folder provided. Write your child's first and last name on the tab. Deliver the forms to our front office at 2101 Devine Street to the attention of the counselor.
