Advanced Studies

Facts About the Advanced Placement Program:

Willingham & Morris, 1986; UT Study 1988

Because AP brings high educational standards into high school classrooms, colleges benefit by admitting increasing numbers of better prepared students. As numerous studies show, AP students outperform their peers who have not taken AP on virtually every standard. Students whose AP grades exempt them from introductory college classes typically do better in subsequent higher-level courses than those students who actually take the introductory college courses. AP students who receive credit and/or advanced placement are more likely than other students to take additional college courses within the academic discipline of their AP course work.

Students must be enrolled in their teacher's AP Courses using the access code given at the beginning of the school year AND have selected 'YES' that they want to take the AP Test.  This is how tests are ordered for each student.  THEN use the link below to pay for the AP Tests that you have ordered.  Please make sure you understand that these are two separate steps that have to be taken.  Doing only one of these steps will result in a test not being ordered for you.  If you need to order your tests please follow this link: https://apstudents.collegeboard.org/ and then return here to pay for them.

If your AP test begins at 8:00AM, then your report time is 7:45AM to your designated testing area. If your AP test begins at 12:00PM, then your report time is 11:45AM to your designated testing area. Make sure to scan the QR code on the post outside the Media Center to find your testing location. If you arrive late to your test, you will not be admitted into the testing room per College Board policy.

Important Links

Once you have paid for an AP test you are expected to show up to and take your AP Test.  No refunds will be issued for students who are a no-show on test day and/or who do not take their AP Test.  Make certain you intend to take the AP Exams you are paying for before following the payment link below.
