Tyler, TX – Tyler ISD Foundation is proud to announce that its strong financial health and ongoing accountability and transparency have earned a 100/100 rating from Charity Navigator’s Encompass Rating System. This score designates Tyler ISD Foundation as an official “Give with Confidence” charity, indicating that the organization is using its donations effectively based on Charity Navigator’s criteria.
Charity Navigator is America’s largest and most-utilized independent charity evaluator. Since 2001, the organization has been an unbiased and trusted source of information for more than 9 million users annually.
“We are delighted to provide Tyler ISD Foundation with third-party accreditation that validates their operational excellence,” said President and CEO of Charity Navigator Michael Thatcher. “We are eager to see the good work that the organization is able to accomplish in the years ahead.”
The Encompass Rating System is a comprehensive evaluation tool that analyzes nonprofit performance based on four key indicators, referred to as beacons. Currently, nonprofits can earn scores for the Finance & Accountability, Impact & Results, Culture & Community, and Leadership & Adaptability beacons.

Since its creation in 1990, the Tyler ISD Foundation has gifted more than $3.5 million to Tyler ISD through innovative teaching grants, student and parent programs, academic and teaching recognition events, and scholarships.
