Local TXU Energy representative, Connie Schafer, visited Tyler ISD today to present a check for $20,000 to the Tyler ISD Foundation, supporting STEM education classroom grants through the Foundation's annual Grants for Great Ideas program.

"We're incredibly grateful to TXU Energy for donating $20,000 towards innovative STEM programs in Tyler ISD science, technology, engineering, and mathematics classrooms," Suzette Farr, Tyler ISD Foundation Executive Director, exclaimed.

The funds from this generous donation will be awarded during the Tyler ISD Foundation's 2026 Grant Patrol. β€œAwarding classroom grants is the heartbeat of our work at the Tyler ISD Foundation, and we're excited to have TXU Energy join us on one of the best days of the school year,” Tyler ISD Foundation Board President, Courtney Burlison, said.
