2020-07-15 Tyler ISD Reminds Parents to Complete Return to Learn Survey

Tyler ISD continues to prepare for our Return to Learn and to welcome students back Wednesday, August 19, for a safe and successful school year. A big part of this is hearing from our Tyler ISD families through the District’s Reopening Schools survey. As a reminder, the survey will close today, July 15 at 5:00 p.m.

This survey will help the District gauge comfort level and specific concerns that families have as we Return to Learn. It will also provide insight into the number of families planning to return for in-school instruction or those who are planning to learn at home. Additionally, it will aid in decisions for staffing, transportation, food services and a variety of other factors involved in holding both an in-school and online option.

“As a parent of three Tyler ISD students, I personally understand the stress and anxiety parents are feeling about the safest course of action for their families this school year,” Tyler ISD Executive Director of Communications Jennifer Hines said. “We are all at different comfort levels for various reasons. It is our hope to provide the best educational opportunities that will work for a variety of situations for our Tyler ISD students and families. Our goal continues to be successful student outcomes whether that is on campus or at home.”

We ask that parents fill out one survey per student and it is important that they select the correct campus for each student. The Reopening Schools survey is available in both English and Spanish through the links below or by visiting the TylerISD.org/ReturnToLearn webpage.
