2018-07-26 Summer Internships Turn Into Job Opportunities
Amaya Blanton, a recent Tyler ISD graduate, and Jackson Sorenson, soon-to-be senior at Robert E. Lee High School, have spent the summer preparing for their futures. In what began as summer internships secured with Neptune Custom Music Solutions, both have now received job offers from the local company as a result of their skilled contributions and output.
“We could not be happier with the work Amaya and Jackson have done for us,” Jim Moseley, director of marketing, said. “They continually put out stellar content for us and we are excited to have them stay on to work part-time with us after school begins.”
Amaya creates content for the company’s new digital citizenship campaign called Neptune Navigate. Neptune Navigate is a tool for parents, schools, and religious organizations to help teach kids how to become better digital citizens. The content Amaya produces includes attention-grabbing graphics and collateral pieces for social media posts, flyers, videos and more. She will attend Tyler Junior College in the fall to begin pursuing a degree in Graphic Design.
Jackson puts his audio/visual skills to work creating, editing and packaging video and audio content for various company projects including Neptune Navigate and Splash Kingdom Water Park. He is in the audio/visual production program at the Career and Technology Center.
