On Friday, March 1st, nine Moore students competed at the Kilgore Regional Science Fair on the Campus of Kilgore College. Students competing were Adrian Bueno, Nate Jennings, Carla Andazola, Nayeli Carrillo, Lorelai Walker, Carter Hayes, Leslie Rebelloso, Kate Matthews, Rushil Sajjan.
Two projects took home specialty awards from Suddenlink Altice. These projects were recognized for their focus on the fields of energy and communications. Adrian Bueno was awarded a $500 prize and Nate Jennings was awarded a $200 prize.
Five of the competitors placed in the top 10 in the Physical or Biological categories and earned a place to compete in the Texas Science and Engineering Fair in College Station on March 30th. Those students taking top 10 honors and advancing to the completion at Texas A&M University were Adrian Bueno, Nate Jennings, Carla Andazola, Lorelai Walker, and Carter Hayes.
