Welcome to music class! Here's a little bit about me.

I grew up in a musical household, with constant singing, playing and composing. My mom was my elementary music teacher, and a great role model. She composed dozens of songs and elementary music programs. My dad was my high school band director, and I always admired how much his students respected him. I still get messages from his former students telling me what a great influence he was.

Zoltan Kodaly (famous composer and educator) said that a child's music education began nine months before the birth of the MOTHER. That's a profound thought. I was blessed to be immersed in a musical home. My mom always said that I read music before I read words, as I followed her finger along with the music we sang at church! I started piano lessons after first grade, picked up French horn in junior high and took singing lessons in college and again in the past several years.
