Miss Juliana Statile

Hello! My name is Juliana Statile, but the students usually call me Miss S! I am the new music teacher here at Peete Elementary, and I am excited to be a Wildcat!

I always knew growing up that I would be a teacher and so being able to teach your children is a priviledge and the fulfillment of one of my life goals.

I graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in December of 2018 with a degree in Music Education and an emphasis in Vocal Music. I am certified to teach Music from EC-12 and general education EC-6. Shortly after graduation, I accepted a position in Chapel Hill at Jackson Elementary as the Pre-Kindergarten teacher. Having lived in seven different states, I am convinced that every child no matter their background should have the right to quality education. I believe that education starts with students feeling like they have an environment to suceed. I believe that every child can reach their potential and their goals through collaboration between teacher and student. Education is a gift for both the one teaching and the one being taught. I hope to instill in my students an appreciation for music and a love for learning in general. Most importantly, I hope to model and inspire my students to dream big and become people of good character for this world that needs leaders who inspire goodness, truth, and beauty. In order to form these leaders, I believe that education starts with the heart becuase "educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all." ~ Aristotle
