Mrs. Adrienne N. Gautreaux-McDonald

Cub Family,

I have a true passion for what I get to do. Counseling and helping others, energizes me. I thank you for allowing me the opportunity to spend time with your beautiful children everyday. It is a joy to see how lives are transformed through positive interaction and teaching new skills.

My path to education was an adventure. I have always enjoyed teaching. Even as a 12 year old kid I was teaching martial arts. I grew up in Mabank, TX, and ended up at the University of South Carolina as a division I golfer. I graduated with a B.A. in Experimental Psychology. I began my masters in hotel, restaurant and tourism management. Then I turned pro. As I was playing on the tour and traveling around the world, I would put on junior golf clinics, teaching youngters this great game. Several years later, I went back to teach tae kwon do at my same, hometown dojo where I found my husband. I am a proud wife, mom to a beutiful step-dauther and two beautiful children, Graeme, 6 and Mia, 4. We serve as members of the First United Methodist Church.

Due to my passion for teaching, I got my teaching certification and a Administration from Lamar University. In addition to a having a teaching certificate and professional school counseling certificate, I also hold a principal certificate. I have been in education for 10 years, and I have spent four years counseling. Prior to counseling, I taught American and Texas history, health and first aid/cpr. I served as the men's and women's golf coach, volleyball, basketball, track, and strength and conditioning coach.

My hobbies include playing golf, CrossFit, Camp Gladiator, competing in races, and most of all, spending time with family. I love watching my children grow and learn every day. I am energetic and full of passion. I love being around, learning from, and encouraging others. My goal is to help every student grow and succeed, leaving better than they came. I believe that everyone can acheive greatness! I want to help your child learn their true potential and reach for the stars! Let's be ORRmazing! Let's R.O.A.R.!
