Ms. Lisa Tillery

I believe that our T.A.R.G.E.T. students are our future leaders, and I am excited to have the privelege to work with this group of students. My hope is to equip them with the tools that they need to be successful in life, and that they feel challenged to think outside the box and be creative.  This is going to be a great year!
This is my 4th year of teaching and my first year on the TARGET team and as a fourth grade teacher.  I taught secondary math and special education in Indiana, and have just moved back to Tyler. We are going to have an exciting time as we discover, explore, inquire, research, and extend content and concepts in our TARGET studies. We will concentrate our studies and problem solving skills in the core areas of math, science, and language arts along with technology application.   Some of our learning opportunities this year will include:
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Activities
  • Habits of Mind
  • Project Based Learning explorations
  • School gardening
  • Selectives based on teacher passions and student interest
  • Independent Study Projects and creative presentations
