    Dr. Marty Crawford - Superintendent of Schools
    Dr. Crawford joined Tyler ISD as Superintendent in August of 2014. Crawford holds a Bachelor of Education from Baylor University, a Master of Education from The University of Oklahoma and Doctorate of Education Administration from Texas A&M Commerce.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors with the Texas School Alliance, the Legislative Committee for Texas Association of School Administrators, and as an advisor for Tyler’s Mentoring Alliance.

    Crawford recently served   on the Texas Education Commissioner’s Accountability Policy Advisory Committee.  He was named an Ambassador for the School of Education at Texas A&M Commerce; a LifeChanger Finalist by National Life, and an Ambassador for the Friends of Texas Public Schools.  

    Dr. Crawford and his wife Alanna, are proud parents of three children who all attend Tyler schools; two daughters, Ashton, a nursing student at Tyler Junior College, and A.J., who is in second grade at Dr. Bryan C. Jack Elementary School; and one son, Jackson, who attends Robert E. Lee High School.


    Tosha Bjork - Assistant Superintendent Finance and Operations
    Tosha Bjork began her career in Tyler ISD in 1999. Prior to Tyler ISD, Ms. Bjork spent 15 years in public accounting and served as partner at Squyres, Johnson, Squyres accounting firm.

    Mrs. Bjork earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Tyler. Mrs. Bjork’s professional licensures include CPA (Certified Public Accountant), RTSBA (Registered Texas School Business Administrator), and RSBO (Registered School Business Official).  She is also an active member of Texas Association of School Business Officials, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Government Finance Officers Association, and Association of School Business Officials International.




    Dr. Christy Hanson - Assistant Superintendent Curriculum and Instruction
    Dr. Hanson began her career with Tyler ISD in 2012 where she has served as Executive Director of Secondary Instruction, Chief Academic Officer, and Chief Administrative Officer. She began her career in education as an elementary school teacher at Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD. Dr. Hanson joined Grand Prairie ISD in 2002 where she served in several positions including counselor, assistant principal, dean of instruction, associate principal, principal, and director of secondary schools.

    Dr. Hanson earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at the University of North Texas, a Master of Science in Counseling and Development at Texas Woman’s University, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership with the University of Phoenix.

    Dr. Hanson is a member of the Texas Association of School Administrators, the Texas Learning Collaborative, Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development, Texas Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development, and Phi Delta Kappa. 



    Ronald Jones - Assistant Superintendent Chief of Staff
    Mr. Jones came to Tyler ISD in 2015 with 22 years of educational experience from Dallas ISD. In Dallas ISD, he served as principal for Hillcrest High School and Benjamin Franklin Middle School, assistant principal of Benjamin Franklin High School, and teacher at D.A. Hulcy Middle School. Mr. Jones served as the Dallas ISD lead principal for the Hillcrest High School feeder pattern, and in 2015, earned all seven state academic distinctions. Mr. Jones has received various other district and campus awards and recognitions over his career.

    Mr. Jones earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Management Information Systems from Louisiana Tech University, his teacher certification from Texas Woman’s University, Master of Education in Educational Administration from The University of Texas at Austin, and has completed doctoral coursework including the superintendent exam through the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.



    Rawly Sanchez - Assistant Superintendent of Schools
    Mr. Sanchez came to the District in 2015 after more than 15 years of educational leadership in the Dallas area. Sanchez served as Dallas ISD deputy chief of staff, principal at Dallas Can Academy-Ross Avenue, H. Grady Spruce High School and W.H. Adamson High School, assistant principal at Hillcrest High School, and teacher at Marsh Middle School. He began his educational career as a teacher at Waxahachie High School in Waxahachie, Texas. Mr. Sanchez has received various honors over his career including the Bank of America Local Hero Award, AHSA Principal of the Year Award, D Magazine Featured Principal and was a top ten finalist for “Texan of the Year” by the Dallas Morning News. 

    Mr. Sanchez earned a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies from Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas, a Master of Education Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce and has completed doctoral coursework through The University of Texas at Austin.
