Mrs. Susette Richardson
Mrs. Richardson is a proud Sam Houston State University alumni earning both a Bachelors and Masters degree from SHSU. She is a twenty-year veteran of education and spent her first seventeen years out of college working as an Education Specialist with the Education Service Center, Region 6 in Huntsville. She then spent the following ten years (2004-2014) as an entrepreneur serving as Owner/Manager of Legends Burger Cafe in Bullard. In August of 2014, Mrs. Richardson was given an opportunity to return to education and she took it. She has been teaching in the secondary classroom for the past three years and considers teaching as a ministry/calling as much as it is a career.
She is married to Mike, a teacher and coach at Cumberland Academy High School in Tyler, and has one son, Landen, who is currently a Junior at UT Tyler. Landen fishes on the UT Tyler Bass Fishing Team and works as one of the Field & Stream Department Team Leads at Academy in Tyler.
For fun, Mrs. Richardson enjoys playing volleyball, rocking babies in the church nursery, singing & playing piano/keyboard at church, and cheering at her student's school events. She's also been known to bake a few brownies and to send the "Brownie Bucket" along with her students when they travel and represent the school. She also enjoys traveling with her family and performing mission work and community service.
Her favorite scripture verse is Romans 8:28:
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.."
