PBIS- Restorative Discipline
Ramey Elementary proudly uses Positive Behavior Intervention Systems to help develop students' social and emotional needs as to ultimately develop academic success. Part of the PBIS system includes Restorative Discipline practices. Marilyn Armour, Ph.D., defines restorative discipline as a relational approach to building school climate and addressing student behavior. The approach fosters belonging over exclusion, social engagement over control, and meaningful accountability over punishment.
