Students - These are the same Google Classrooms we've used all year.  No changes there - I will just be utilizing more videos, etc. to explain and go through things.  You can still use the private comments to ask questions, as you always have, on specific assignments.  Don't worry! It's going to be fine, fun, even! Have fun, be safe, make good decisions - and wash your hands.

I am passionate about Debate and Professional Communications, as they are sometimes an art forgotten by many students.  Professional Communication is such an important part of the educational process, and Debate teaches students how to research, write, think critically and outside the box, and most importantly - it teaches students to broaden their worldview and inform themselves (from reputable sources) so that they can develop an informed opinion and go on to make educated decisions for the future of our Country.

I am starting my seventh year as a Prof Comm/Debate Teacher and Coach.  During my first six years, our teams made multiple trips to State competitions, placing at State, bringing home District Championships and Regional and District Medals.  Most importantly, though, those students have gone on to pursue the military, law school, law enforcement, the medical field, the oil field and other eduational endeavors - which is the most rewarding part of my job as a speech and debate teacher.

Our year will be filled with competition, practice, and travel. This is my third year at Robert E. Lee High School.  I spent the first five years of my teaching career at Tatum High School, and I am beyond excited for the adventure that continues to await us here at Lee.  Please don't hesitate to contact me with questions/concerns or to schedule a conference.  We welcome parent and community involvement in the Debate Program and can't wait to meet you!
