Degrees and Certifications:

Mr. Rodney C. Wallace

Thank you for visiting my REL web page. Please visit the webpages of your student's teachers. This will be my second year as an assistant principal at REL High School, having previously taught History & Health/PE for 13 years in the DFW Metroplex. I received my Bachelor's degree from Southern Methodist University (in Dallas), then obtained my Master's degree from Lamar University (in Beaumont). Prior to becoming an educator, I first served as a Child Care Specialist with the Dallas County Juvenile Department. I then served as a law enforcement officer with Dallas PD for 5 years. Realizing the tremendous need for positive male role models in inner-city schools, I decided to pursue a career in Education. To say the least, I have found this decision to be both personally and professionally rewarding.

My location is H104 with Dr. Robyn Midkiff (assistant principal) and Gloria Runnels (administrative assistant). For the 2017-18 school year, we will assist all students having the last name starting with H-P. You may call me at (903)262-2741 and are encouraged to leave me a message anytime you want to make an appointment. If I do not answer, please call Mrs. Runnels at (903)262-3406 or feel free to also e-mail me at This year, I will be working with Mr. Todd Lawson (Counselor) and our alphabet will include letters M-P. Mr. Lawson's office is located in N-105. I believe in working closely with ALL students, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, or gender. I also believe in a "firm but fair" philosophy regarding discipline. Finally, I strongly believe that IT TAKES A VILLAGE of loving parents, teachers, administrators, and community members to produce productive law-abiding, hard-working, college & career ready students! rw
