Welcome to Fourth Grade English Language Arts, Reading, and Writing!  In this class students will develop their skill in communicating through writing, as well as strengthening their English vocabulary along with their Reading skills. My philosophy is that ALL children can learn. I have worked with students from the Head Start and Prekindergarten level through fifth grade, and with students from all ranges of socio-economic backgrounds.  I strive to challenge all students so that they can grow to their fullest potential. When the whole family is involved in supporting education, our students have a better chance to succeed.  My expectation for this class is that all students come ready to learn.  We will be respectful, let others learn, and work to our fullest potential.

During the 2nd Six Weeks we will be focusing on understanding Literary Nonfiction and Drama. This includes analyzing theme in stories, understanding and developing character traits, and making inferences.  In Writing, we will be focusing on sequencing and writing with well-established conventions.
