    Student Online Registration for the 2018-2019 school year is now open for NEW and RETURNING students! Here are some reminders about the process.

     

    • Parents can either go directly to Online Registration on the www.tylerisd.org/enroll website OR they can login to their Parent Self Serve account and click on the Registration tab to access online registration.
     
     
     
      
     
    This is a reminder that a permanent ID gives you the privilege to participate in any special programs or incentives on campus. Any student without a permanent ID may NOT participate in any dress up day including Red Ribbon Week, assemblies, pep rallies, dances, etc. Having your permanent ID is your membership badge. Without being able to prove your membership, you lose the privileges that all members receive. Purchase your permanent ID badge today and be responsible with keeping up with it. Respectful, Responsible and Safe. We are Moore. 

     

    Students please remember that only clear water bottles are allowed on campus during the school day. Any bottles that do not fit this description are subject to being taken up by the office. If you have a colored water bottle or silver Yeti, Please put it away and do not take it out during the day. Take it home and do not let it show back up at school. Thank you 

     

     

     

    ORGANIZATIONS

     

    Welcome back students! Do no forget that your tutorial passes have reset and we are on a new cycle. We had a good turnout at the first hot chocolate bar and we expect to see more students at the next round. Remember that this round goes until Friday, January 25th! Keep up the hard work Mustangs!

     

    Are you a good speller? Do you like to study a word list and compete against others? If the answer is YES, then talk to your language arts teacher TODAY! He/she will have a list of words. The spelling bee will be on January 18.

     

    Interested in becoming a Mustang Cheerleader? You can pick up your tryout packet beginning next Monday, January 14th, in the front office. To tryout you must fill out the packet, turn it in to Mrs. Miller in room 203 or Mrs. LaCroix in room 301 by February 12th, and your parent or guardian must attend the parent meeting on Tuesday February 12th!

     

    Remember if you are interested in joining a UIL Academics team this year to check out the TV's in the hallways for a complete list of all events offered this year and which teacher for you talk to in order to learn more about it. Any grade level student may compete. Many events have already began practicing for our district meet in a few weeks. If you have any questions about UIL Academics feel free to stop by and talk with Mr. Smith in room #310.  

     
     

     

     

    Did you know you can view your student’s grades and attendance online? Click here for more information on how to sign up for Parent Self Serve!  Once you have registered for Parent Self Serve, you will be able to update your student’s information and complete the BACK TO SCHOOL forms online before the 2017-2018 school year begins.  Online registration will take the place of the paper enrollment packet.

     


    COUNSELOR NEWS

     

    8th grade students who are interested in attending Early College High School are invited for an tour of the ECHS campus. Interested students should sign up in either Mrs. Sawyer's or Mrs. Selman's office. Spaces are limited and will be first come first served.

    REMEMBER YOUR CHILD CAN NOT ATTEND CLASS WITHOUT PROOF OF THE REQUIRED IMMUNIZATIONS!!!       

    All incoming 7th graders must have their DTP and MCV4 vaccinations!!!


     

    School policy AND state law requires a child stay home if he or she:
    Has a fever of 100 degrees or higher
    Has been vomiting or has diarrhea
     
    FOR FEVER: Keep your child home until his/her FEVER has been gone

    WITHOUT medicine for 24 hours. Colds can be contagious for at least hours. Returning to school too
    soon may slow recovery and make othe sick.

    FOR VOMITING OR DIARRHEA: Keep your child home for 24 hours afte the LAST time she/he vomited or
    had diarrhea.

    FOR ANTIBIOTICS: Keep your child home until 24 hours after the FIRS dose of antibiotic for anything
    like ear infection or strep throat.

    SPORTS NEWS
     
     
    Any boys interested in trying out for soccer will need to double check the list posted outside of the coach's office to make sure you are eligible in Rank One. If you are not eligible in Rank One you will not be able to try out in February. If you are not on the list please write your name on the list outside of the coach's office so that coach Smith can add you into Rank One. We will be having an informational meeting about men's soccer on February 1st. If you have any questions about soccer please see Coach Smith in room #310
