Preparing Student for the 21st Century

John Tyler High School 21st Century Global Learning Center

The John Tyler S.T.E.A.M Academy provides an opportunity for our students be exposed to the careers options in science, technology, engineering and math with additional exposure to the arts.

The TEA has named John Tyler High School a STEM Academy for the 2014-2015 school year.  This is our first year with this designation and we are building the program starting with our the Class of 2018, our freshmen class.

Our purpose, starting at the ninth grade level two years ago, is to expose ours students to the careers available to them in the STEM fields, expose our students to their post-secondary options, and connect our student to extra-curricular activities available to them at John Tyler.
