One of the most important reasons I chose to become a teacher is because I enjoy seeing children of all ages progress and learn new concepts. I have a tremendous passion for learning as a whole, whether I am on the giving end or the receiving end. I am compassionate about creating an environment where my students can learn on their own level through differentiated instruction. I have the privilege of witnessing the growth and learning that occurs with each student over the course of the school year. As a teacher, I try to build excitement for my students and give them another reason to want to come to class, to want to participate, to want to explore, to want to learn. I feel that the experiences, knowledge, work ethic and compassion I have gained as an educator has helped me to hold my students to a higher standard, knowing and instilling in them the worth of accomplishing important goals.
I am now in a new position of Master Teacher for Math and Science. I am excited about this new endeavor in my career. I now have the privilege of working with, coaching, and supporting amazing teachers on the Three Lakes Campus. My role as Master Teacher allows me to collaborate, share resources and develop rich classroom cultures with my colleagues. Our goal "together" is to ensure high levels of student engagement to accelerate learning for all students. I will always be a teacher . . . I am fortunate now to be able to have an impact on many more students by teaming with teachers!
