Mrs. Melisa LeBlanc

I truly believe our T.A.R.G.E.T. students are the future leaders of our nation and of our world and I am thrilled to have the privilege to work with these outstanding young minds.  My hope is that they will leave my classroom with tools that will prepare them to be successful in life, and that they feel challenged to think in ways they never have before in order to solve problems and be creative. We are going to have a very exciting year of learning!

This is my 16th year of teaching and my 10th year on the TARGET team, but my first year to teach 4th grade. We always have an exciting time as we discover, explore, inquire, research, and extend content and concepts in our TARGET studies. We will concentrate our studies and problem solving skills in the core areas of math, science, and language arts along with technology application.   Some of our learning opportunities this year will include:
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Activities
  • Habits of Mind
  • Project Based Learning explorations
  • School gardening
  • Selectives based on teacher passions and student interest
  • Independent Study Projects and creative presentations
