Department Overview

  • Title I is the largest federal aid program for our nation's schools. The goal of Title I is a high quality education for every child. The program provides extra help to students who are attending identified Title I schools - those with high poverty levels. Title I focuses on assisting students in meeting the standards the state has set for all children.

    The Tyler ISD Title I program serves 11,854 children in the following schools:
