Mission Statement

  • TARGET's mission is to empower gifted learners to understand and use their giftedness, both now and in the future. We aim to accomplish our mission by providing students with innovative learning experiences, laying the academic foundation for college and career readiness, giving students opportunities for leadership development and fostering the unique social and emotional needs of gifted students.

  • GT Referrals Now Being Accepted 

    TARGET Academy is accepting GT Referrals through Monday, November 2. Parents who are interested in having their child tested for the GT program need to contact their student's school counselor for the paperwork.

    Are you considering referring your child for GT testing, but not sure what characteristics to look for?  Do you want to know more about our referral process and the criteria we use to determine if a child qualifies for services in Tyler ISD?  Please take a moment to view the power point attached below entitled "Should I Refer my Child for GT Testing?"
