In the third and final funded
year of the project, selected 7th and 8th grade faculty members from
participating campuses receive equipment and training to develop and deliver a
two week summer school technology camp program that focuses on physical health
among students, educators, and members of the Tyler community.

The philosophy
of this project is to empower teachers with state-of-the-art technology that
fits in a bag! We want Math and Science teachers and students to be able to
conduct health-related field investigations equipped with handheld devices that
apply to real life scenarios. The result will be technology-literate students
who are better prepared for society.
