Karen White
holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from
Trinity University and a Master of Education in Educational
Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler. In addition, Mrs.
White holds Elementary, Art, and Professional Mid-Management
certifications and an endorsement for Gifted and Talented. With over 23
years in the field of education, 15 of which have been with the Tyler
Independent School District, Mrs. White has served as an Elementary
Teacher, Instructional Technology Trainer and an Instructional
Technology Specialist for Training and Support. In addition, she has
worked with the Department of Curriculum and Instruction to help develop
the District's elementary math and science curricula, has been involved
in the District's staff development program, has worked as a part-time
instructor at the University of Texas at Tyler in conjunction with the
TARGET grant and the previously funded TIE grant, and has presented at
numerous state conferences in the areas of elementary mathematics and
instructional technology. In January of 2004, she assumed the position
of Instructional Consultant at Andy Woods Elementary School in Tyler ISD. |
