Basketball Skills Workout 3


1. Ball Handling Drills:
a. Low stationary crossover dribbles- 50 x's
b. Dribble full court backwards with right/back with left hand
c. 50 hard low dribble with right and left hand- 50 x's each
d. Walking dribbles between legs up and back
e. Figure 8 dribbles- 10 x's each direction
f. 5 dribbles forward 2 dribbles back- up and back
g. Waist and legs circles- 30 x's each
h. Through the legs around the back up and back
i. On one knee dribble through leg that is up- 70 x's each side
j. Combination dribbles up and back

2. Offensive moves:
a. Low post moves:
1. Low block baseline drop step power move- 10 's each side
2. Low block middle drop step power move- 10 x's each side
3. Low block spin and face up jumper- 10 x's each
4. Low block spin and face up pump fake and drive- 10 x's each
b. Mid post spin the ball and catch moves:
1. Spin the ball into the lane catch and shoot- 10 x's each side
2. Spin the ball into the lane catch, shot fake shoot layup- 10
x's ea.
3. Spin the ball out of the lane catch and shoot- 10 x's each side
4. Spin the ball out of the lane catch, shot fake shoot layup-
10 x's ea.

3. Speed Drills:
a. Baseline to top of the key close out and crossover back to
the right low block and left low block (alternate)- Perform 3 to
each block.
b. Low blocks to corner closeout and crossover to cut the
baseline off. Perform 3 to each corner.
c. Foul line hip turn and shuffle to low blocks (alternate)-
Perform 3 times to each side.
d. Double crossover- Start on the left side of the lane and
Crossover 2 x's so both feet are outside the right side of the
lane. Go over and back 2 x's.
