2010 Tennis

This year tennis tryouts begin on February 23 which is an “A” day. 7^th graders will have tryouts on “A” days and 8^th graders will have tryouts on “B” days.  Tryouts will be held during A4 or B4 at U.T. Tyler. I will transport participants in a school bus to and from U.T. Tyler. We will leave Moore at 2:20 and return by 3:40.  Tryouts are open to anyone who would like to participate as long as the participant has a physical on file. If a student is already in athletics then they have the required physical. If not, then students can come by room 2A and get the physical form.

During tryouts basic tennis skills will be assessed. Due to a lack of court availability, participants will more than likely have to compete for spots on the team. The competitions will be tennis matches played during tryouts at U.T. Tyler.  Once teams have been set, tennis players will continue to ride the bus to and from U.T. Tyler during their A4 or B4 block for practice. Most matches are scheduled during the school week, but the last match (May 1^st) is on a Saturday.
