Class Objectives

1.  The students will acquire a knowledge of basic sign language vocabulary and structure.

2.  The students will understand the function of the ear and the various causes of hearing loss.

3.  The students will gain an understanding of deaf culture.

Grading Policy

1.  Any student that makes an effort to participate in class activities, will do well in the class.

2.  Class participation  25%

3.  Quizzes & daily grades  25%

4.  Chapter tests & special projects 50%
