Administrative Experience: Prior to my career in
teaching (Which started in 1997 in the Public School System here at Moore
MST Magnet) I was a Special Forces Officer in the U.S.
Army. Yes that means I was a Green Beret. I served as a private
through being a Field Grade Officer. My assignments varied, as a Captain
I was assigned to The University of Puerto Rico, and after this as an analyst
with Center for Army Lessons Learned (CALL). My work at CALL is published
online. As a young Major I commanded Special Forces organizations. I also
served as The Director of Training at Fort Bragg,
North Carolina followed by an assignment in Japan from
which I retired. I have been in charge of organizations of various sizes and
configurations. I have a number of military awards and badges. I am a
Master Parachutist, SCUBA, HELO (High Altitude Low opening Military Freefall)
and I am a Ranger. I have over 300 parachute jumps both static-line and
freefall.
For those Texas fans I graduated from the University of Texas with a
degree in Political Science and a Master's Degree from Texas A&M. I
enjoy playing golf and reading. I honestly believe that the pursuit of
education never ends.
