Welcome to the wonderful world of science and astronomy at Moore MST!
Courses Taught: I have taught P.E., health, life science, earth science, and athletics. I'm currently teaching 7th grade science and astronomy.
Years Experience: 27
Grading Policy: Daily work and labs count as one grade each, and tests are two. Projects can count as 2 to 4 grades, depending.
Make-up Work Policy: As long as they come to tutorials, within a week.
Tutorial: Every morning from 8:00-8:35 except Wednesdays
Major Projects: Major class projects in 7th grade science include the science fair project, student teaching units, power point projects, and technology enhanced research. In astronomy, we have a paper airplane contest, constellation projects, and a study of Ray Bradbury's "Martian Chronicles".
Classroom Management Policy: As it is written in the student hand book.
Supplies: Most of my class supplies are available here at school.
Why do you like teaching science? I enjoy teaching these subjects because I have always enjoyed science from the time I was in elementary school. When I was a 7th grader here at Moore I had an excellent science teacher who really inspired me to continue learning.
Where were you born? I was born here in Tyler.
Why do you like teaching here at Moore? I like teaching at Moore because of the quality of the people that are here-faculty, staff, and especially the students.
What was your first job? My first job was teaching and coaching at Bullard back in 1980.
