2008-2009 FCS Officer Election Results

Thank you to all students who submitted compositions and teacher evaluations for offices this year. It was a very tough race, with many exceptional students to choose from. Here are the results from the committee:

President:

The office of president will be a very big job. The committee has decided to have a co-presidency where two people will handle the job together. This year's co-presidents are:

Nathan Leary & Austin Fleet

Presidents' Cabinet Members:

Jace Eakin & Chloe Roberts

·       In charge of finding speakers for each meeting. Speakers can  be a student, teacher, or outside source. All members report to the president if they are interested in speaking.  The president is in charge of the prayer at pep-rallies and meetings.

Vice-President:

·       In charge of lining up praise and worship music for each monthly meeting. Music can be student musicians or singers, it can be a teacher, it could be simply making a PowerPoint with words for the others to follow along with.  Can create praise and worship team if interested.

This year's vice-president is:

Connor Newsom

 

Secretary:

·       Helps with organizing and executing t-shirt sales and distribution and helps with any possible field trip business.  Also is in charge of helping set up breakfast for each meeting.

This year's secretary is:

Kennedy Renshaw

 

Historian:

·       In charge of taking pictures at meetings and functions and writing short articles to submit to the yearbook sponsor and newsletter.

The historian will have a great deal of work to complete this year, so the committee has decided to elect two historians to handle the job this year.

Eighth Grade Representatives:

·       Will assist all officers with business related to our organization. (Help make posters, help prepare for meetings and events)  Gives ideas to the officers for meetings.

This year's representatives are:

    Ellen Burton, Alexis Crowder, Reagan Freeman, Mary Kate Murphy, Connor Newsom, Travis Ward

 

Seventh Grade Representatives:

·       Will assist all officers with business related to our organization. (Help make posters, help prepare for meetings and events)  Gives ideas to the officers for meetings.

This year's representatives are:

    Abby Halbrook, Emily Hawk, Madison Johnson, Olivia Johnson, Morgan Mills, Madison Powell, Olivia Price

 

FCS...What is it?

Fellowship of Christian Students is an organization designed to promote and maintain a Christian attitude and walk for students.  At Moore, the organization is open to all students who wish to participate.  We meet on the second Wednesday of every month in room 1A (Mrs. Bower's room).  Come join us to encourage and pray for one another!

To become a member of FCS, all you need to do is show up at the meetings!
