Grading

There are two major categories of grades in this class, daily work/homework/notebook and tests/quizzes/projects.

• The daily work/homework category will count as 30% of your grade.
  Daily work includes any activities that we work on in class that are collected at the end of the period. Papers in this category may be graded for completion or for correctness at my option.
  Homework will be graded for completion. If it is not turned in when it is due, there will be an automatic deduction of 20% for the first day late and then 10% for each day after that, down to a minimum grade of 50. Completion means that I will see your work. Bald answers or answers copied from BOB (the back of the book) will receive no credit!
  Grades on AP problems will be entered in this category. Again, it will be my option whether they are graded for completion or for correctness, but you should expect most of them to be graded for correctness.
  Your notebook grade will be entered in this category. Your notebook grade is a completion grade. I will expect test corrections in your notebook and will count off if they are not there.
• The tests/quizzes/projects category will count as the other 70% of your grade.
  You are expected to correct all the tests. If a makeup test is offered, you will be able to take it only after I have seen you for tutoring and received your test corrections on the appropriate form.
