Notebook
Organization
You will need a three-ring binder for this class and a
package of dividers with 5 sheets. Other supplies you will need are a 6-inch (or
longer) ruler and a $2 battery fee if you are planning to use the school’s
calculators.
- Put your name on the front of the notebook so
that I can return it to you without opening it. This can be pretty because I
will not write on it.
- The first page of your notebook will be a title
page/cover sheet with your name and block on it. Do not spend time
making this beautiful because I will write your notebook grade and other
comments on it.
- The next page will be your assignment sheet
which will look like the one below.

- A divider should be placed after the assignment sheet.
The section that follows will be the Notes/Vocabulary/Calculator Handouts
section.
A spiral notebook for notes won’t work well in this class because I will
often give you a skeleton of the class notes and/or take up your notes with
your assignment. This sheet goes in this section.
- The next divider should be labeled Homework/Class
Work/Notebook Grading Sheet. This is the section of the notebook where
you will keep any papers that are graded as daily assignments.
- The next divider should be labeled
Tests/Quizzes/Project Grading Sheet. This is the section of the notebook
where you will keep any papers that are graded as test grades. This is where
you will place your test and quiz corrections.
- The next divider should be labeled Formula Sheets
and Tables. This may be empty until we get to Chapter 5.
- The last divider should be labeled Course Outline
and AP Problems.
You should have nothing loose in your notebook when you
turn it in. It should pass the shake test.
