I am so happy and excited to be teaching art at Peete Elementary. I have been a teacher in Tyler ISD for 16 years, and I know that this is going to be the best year ever.
Art class is a place for children to take everything they learn in class and use it to create a masterpiece.  We work very hard and we have a lot of fun.  I want all of our students to learn to express themselves through art.  People from around the world have recorded history since the beginning of time through their artwork. It is my goal to challenge my students to stretch their thinking and their talents to  become creative thinkers and doers.
As a community outreach program, the students will all take turns sharing their talents with our men and women in the armed forces. We will send care packages each month. I believe this will help our children be more aware of the great sacrifices made by our countries military.
Parents are always welcome in my art classroom. If any of you have a particular talent, and you would like to share it with your child’s class, please let me know. I would love to have you visit and share with us.		 No puedo estar más feliz y emocionada por dar clases de arte en Peete Elementary. Llevo 16 años trabajando como maestra para el Distrito Escolar de Tyler y sé que este va a ser el mejor de todos los años.
La clase de Arte es el mejor lugar para que los alumnos utilicen todo lo que aprenden en otras clases y lo transformen en Obras Maestras. Trabajamos muy duro y nos divertimos mucho más. Yo trato de que los alumnos aprendan a expresarse a través del arte. La gente de todo el mundo y en todas las épocas ha grabado su historia a través de sus trabajos artísticos. Mi objetivo y empeño es que los alumnos aumenten su talento y se abran a nuevas formas de pensar para llegar a ser grandes emprendedores y pensadores creativos.
En nuestro Programa de Acercamiento a la Comunidad, los alumnos compartirán su talento con los hombres y mujeres de nuestras Fuerzas Armadas. Cada mes trataremos de atenderles con el envío de algunos paquetes postales. Esto ayudará a los alumnos a ser conscientes del gran sacrificio que hacen los militares de nuestro país.
 Los padres son siempre muy bien venidos a la clase de arte. Su alguno de ustedes tiene alguna habilidad especial y desea compartirla con los compañeros de su hijo/a, por favor, háganoslo saber. Estaré encantada de que nos visite para compartirlo.
