First Grade is experiencing an exciting year at Peete Elementary.  It is full of challenges and rewards.  

Each classroom has it's own personality and teaching style.  We have many programs that focus on the needs of the learner:  Primary Literacy, Reading Recovery, Literacy Groups, Math Their Way, Box It and Bag It, TAKS Target Math, Accelerated Reader, Peer Tutoring and Spalding Phonics.  

Hands-on activities are used to give students a concrete base through which skills can be taught and build upon.  

"Whatever it Takes" is not only the school motto but a way of life for first grade teachers.  The teachers work diligently and creatively with all students to prepare them for second grade and beyond.  

We believe that all students can and will learn in First Grade at Peete Elementary School.

Primer grado esta teniendo un gran ano lleno de retos y recompensas.  

Cada clase tiene su propia personalidad y estilo de enseñanza. Tenemos muchos programas que se centran en las necesidades de los estudiantes:  Primary Literacy, Reading Recovery, Literacy Groups, Math Their Way, Box It and Bag It, TAKS Target Math, Accelerated Reader, Peer Tutoring and Spalding Phonics.  

Usamos manipulatives para que los estudiantes aprendan sobre lo concreto y que puedan desarrollarse desde ahí.  

"Lo que haga falta" no es solo el lema de nuestra escuela sino nuestra forma de enseñar en primer grado. Los maestros trabajan de forma eficaz para prepararles para segundo grado y más allá.

Creemos que todos los estudiantes pueden y aprenderán en primer grado en Peete Elementary School.
