RIBBON WEEK ACTIVITIES
MONDAY, October 26
“Red
Ribbon Awareness Day”
All students and staff are encouraged to wear red. The homeroom in
each grade that displays the most spirit by wearing red and their Red
Ribbons will get a treat at lunch. Red Ribbons will be numbered and five
numbers will be drawn at the end of the day for prizes.
Hip-Hop Students from Tyler School of Ballet will perform
@8:30 in the gym for all students at Peete Elementary.
“Design a Ribbon Activity”
Each classroom will design and
display their own class ribbon outside their classroom.
TUESDAY, October 27
“Color My
World Drug Free”
Wear the color of your grade level. K – Blue, 1 – Green, 2 – Yellow, 3 –
Orange, 4 – Purple, 5 – Red. Mr. Holloway will speak to the 4th
grade students about drugs and its impact on the body and present ”Keep A
Clear Mind” to the 4th grade students. Wear red ribbons!
WEDNESDAY, October 28
“Team up
against drugs!”
Everyone dresses up in their
favorite team jersey. Drug video will be shown to all students. Wear red
ribbons!
“Drugs Don’t Make Cents” (Community Service Project)
Students will bring coins to donate for a coin drive. A collection jug will
be placed in the cafeteria for the students to place their “coins” into
during lunch. All donated money will go to a local charity.
THURSDAY, October 29
“Sock
it to Drugs!”
Everyone wear crazy socks today
to show that we will sock it to drugs. Wear red ribbons!
“Drugs are Unbearable!”
All students will receive a “teddy bear” today in support of red ribbon
week.
FRIDAY, October 30
“Say
Boo to Drugs!”
Students/Staff wear orange & black. Students are encouraged to have fun
on this day and follow the rules on Halloween night. Wear red ribbon!
“We CAN all stay drug free!” (Community Service Project)
Bring a canned food item today to show your compassion for others. Classes
will compete for the highest number of canned food items brought in for our
Kids Can Food Drive. All canned goods will be donated to a local charity.
