MATHCOUNTS is a national math program sponsored by the
National Society of Professional Engineers to “increase interest
and involvement in mathematics among all middle school students
in order to assist in developing a technically literate population
essential to U.S. global competitiveness and the quality of life.”

Students enrolled in the 6th, 7th, or 8th grade are eligible to
participate in MATHCOUNTS competitions.
The competitions in this area are sponsored by the
East Texas Chapter of the Society of Professional Engineers.
Hubbard Middle School has participated in this program since
it began 20 years ago.
We have won both as individuals and as a team more times
than not and progressed to the state competition.
MATHCOUNTS alumnae are always at the top of their classes
in high school and excel on college entrance tests.

MathCounts practice time is
Friday 8:00-8:30 and Tuesday 3:45-4:30
