Attention all teachers and students!!

Mrs.
Martin’s Teen Leadership class is hosting their 3rd annual
Toys for Tots fundraiser!
Turn in your money to your homeroom teacher!
Last year Hubbard raised $1250, and our goal this year is $2000!
We will be having a contest this year
between grade levels and between homeroom classes.
The grade level that earns the most money between December 2 and
December 10 will receive a free TISD dress code day on December 19. The
homeroom in each grade level that earns the most money will receive a
party in the cafeteria during 8th period on Thursday,
December 18. So, there will be a 6th grade, 7th
grade and an 8th grade winning homeroom!
May the best grade level and the best homeroom win!
Let’s remember that this is for a good cause as the money will be used
to purchase toys for the children who are less fortunate. We want to
make this a special Christmas for these children.

Students at
Hubbard Middle School are really showing they have a heart for
giving...
Student are holding a contest titled
“Spirit Chains” where each grade level is competing against the
other to see who can build the longest paper chain. Each link of
chain costs 10 cents. The money from the chain contest is being
used to ship the shoe boxes full of goodies that the kids are
bringing to send to the soldiers in Iraq. This year the shoe boxes
are going to a Hubbard teacher’s son and his unit in Iraq. In just
three days, the students have already raised almost $700.00. Last
year’s total was $1600.00!
UPDATE: Students raised the following amounts for a
grand total of $1695.92 !
6th-Grade: $343.74 7th-Grade: $808.81
8th-Grade: $543.37
Hubbard is also in need of
items to send to the soldiers. The deadline for bringing items is
Dec. 5.
Any one from the community is welcome to bring items or
monetary donations.
The following is a list of items needed:
Powder drink mix, hard candy, pens, toothbrushes, toothpaste, books,

"Perhaps the most valuable result of
