MATH COUNTS TEAM GOES TO STATE

These students participated in the East Texas Area MathCounts competition at UTTyler, Wednesday, February 17, 2010.  The team placed second in the competition (losing only by 0.75 points) and will move on to the state competition in Austin on March 26-27.  Team members advancing are Brian Cousineau, Rafael Guzman, Kevin Baldwin, and Will Vickery.  Other members of the team members are: Will Arnold, Josh Bice, David Hudson, Shivani Jariwala, Courtney Merrill, Tucker Moore, Jack Oliver and Jenna Stephens.

Mrs. Roberson also received an award for her 25 years of dedication and service to the East Texas Math Counts Program.

Glenn English Named State TCEA CampSIG President

The Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA) hosts the largest educational technology convention in the state - and one of the largest in the nation -  each February in Austin. It's membership includes five Special Interest Groups (SIGs) for members who want to become even more involved in technology education and network with other educators in similar positions. CampSIG is the campus technology specialists group.
