*The following note was sent home with a permission slip last Friday,  Feb. 19.  If you did not receive the permission slip, please contact Mrs. Wise or Mrs. England by Wednesday, Feb. 24.

Dear Parents,

The active Science Club members have a chance to go on an exciting field trip to the Planetarium. This event will be held at TJC on February 26th  from 2:30-4:00. Because Science Club is an extracurricular activity the district will be unable to pay for the students or a bus. We have asked a police officer to stop traffic on 5th street to allow us to cross. You will also have to pick up your child in the TJC lot located behind the Planetarium promptly at 4:00. If you would still like your Science Club member to join us for this wonderful educational experience please fill out the attached permission slip and send $2 cash in the envelope provided.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact Mrs. Wise 262-1869 madolyn.wise@tylerisd.org or Mrs. England 262-1852 kelly.england@tylerisd.org.

Thank you,

Science Club Team

Announcing The Bell Elementary Science Club!!!

We are so excited to have a wonderful group of fifth graders who are actively involved in our new science club!  Our Science Club meets every Friday from 3:00-4:00.

Our first goal for Science Club is to develop a love of science among our students.  If students develop a love of science outside the classroom then they are more likely to participate in class because they have an interest and also have extra background knowledge they have gained from activities we have worked on in Science Club.  Our second goal is to create a desire to research and experiment in order to find out why things happen the way they do in the world around us.  We want our students to become creative thinkers and to apply what they learn in one experiment to something we are working on in another experiment or to something they notice in the world around them.

For further information please contact one of the Science Club sponsors:
