Welcome and thank you for visiting my web page. My name is Mrs. Collum and this is my 13th year to be a School Counselor at T.J. Austin Elementary School. At T.J. Austin Elementary, kids needs come first! My main goal at school is to be an advocate for your child. From school supplies, uniform assistance, group, and individual counseling, I am here to serve you. Please discuss with me if you need outside assistance as well. Ongoing programs I sponsor are the Student of the Month, Honor Roll recognitions and the NBA. Each month, one student is recommended by their teacher to represent their class as Student of the Month. This is an honor for good behavior and hard work. The NBA program stands for “Never Be Absent”. Students with perfect attendance have the chance to win a free basketball each six weeks. Honor Roll recipients receive a prize and have their name listed in the Tyler newspaper. I also provide “Peer Mediation” for students who need assistance working out their problems.
