Lunchroom Link
Tyler ISD has a program that will allow
parents to access their students’ cafeteria account via the Internet. This
access will provide parents the ability to do several things including checking
student balances, viewing student meal purchases, and depositing funds into
lunch money accounts using a debit/credit card. This exciting new service is
called Lunch Money Now. Parents and guardians can link to Lunch Money Now via
the Tyler ISD web site at
http://www.tylerisd.org
Parents will need to have their students ID # to be able to log in and access
the account.

Please be aware of the cafeteria "outside eating area" rules:
1.
ONLY
one friend may go out with a student and his/her parents
2.
MUST SIT
at the picnic tables during the entire lunch period.
3. This is
NOT recess –
NO running, chasing, playing, or
yelling!
4. The “picnic area” is only that area covered by the blue awning – please stay
away from the bicycle area.
Thanks for
your help. |

Good Morning!
Want a sure-fire way for your children to get a
great start to their morning? Have them here by 7:45! The time from 7:45 – 8:00
is important time in the classroom. During this time students are unpacking
backpacks, sharpening pencils, organizing supplies, and getting settled for the
day. Instruction starts at 8:00 – give your children a head start!
Dress Code
With our
warm weather, please remember the dress code! The dress code can be found
in the Rice Ranger Handbook located in the front of your child’s agenda.
In “short”, shorts must be modest in length, spaghetti straps and tank tops are
not allowed, and tummies are to be covered.
Morning Drop Off: To drop students off in the morning, please
pull into the circle drive on Carriage, using both lanes. Do not change lanes.
Students must remain in their cars until parents drive past the
flagpole, and must exit onto the sidewalks where school personnel are ready
to assist. Please pull all the way down. Do not drop off on Carriage,
in the teacher parking lot or bus lane.
Afternoon Pick Up: Car riders will be picked up from the
supervised sidewalk area past the flagpole. Please pull all the way down.
Parents should have a sign with their child’s name and grade in
their front window. Do not remove the sign until your child is in the car.
Walkers, bus and daycare van riders will be escorted to their designated areas.
Please do not pick up in the teacher parking lot or bus lane.

From
Trash to Treasure Look for the logo on
General Mills products, carefully cut them out, and send them to school with
your child. Your child can place them in the box top collection box located in
the foyer by the office. It is that easy to earn money for Rice. Last year we
received $424.02 through the “Box tops for Education” program sponsored by
General Mills. For each box top sent in we receive approximately 10¢. It adds
up! Please don’t throw money away. Start cutting out those box tops!
