Mrs. Fothergill, music teacher
Hi, my name is Kelly Fothergill, and I am the Music Specialist at Rice. I have a degree and certification in Music Education and I have taught for twelve years in various districts around the state. I am a mom to four little ones, five years and under who keep me very busy. I love teaching music! My goal is that every student become more educated about music whether they grow up to become professional musicians, sing and play in community and church groups or just be a music consumer. I love the quote by the Italian composer Gioacchino Rossini: “The language of music is common to all generations and nations; it is understood by everybody, since it is understood with the heart.”
