Below is the cost of this year’s AP exams.  Registration will begin on Thurs. Jan. 25 and will end on Feb. 27 so I can organize the paperwork and place the order for exams within 2 days (by Mar. 1).

 

For students who ask about the $83 cost listed in the AP Bulletin:

 

College Board charge -             $83 per exam

TEA contribution -                    -$30

Subtotal-                                  $53 per exam

                                                -$26.50  (TISD Advanced Studies is contributing half of the exam price to lower student cost)

 

Student Cost -                          $26.50   per exam    (Option 2 Students – NOT on free/reduced lunches

 

                                                $14.00   per exam    (Option 1 Students – ON free/reduced lunches;  $8.00 will be refunded after they sit for exams)

 

One VERY IMPORTANT piece of information.  The reduced fees apply to the incentive exams – math, science, and English.  I apologize to the rest of the exam subjects, but TISD decided to follow in AP Strategies’ tracks.   The other exams will include only the TEA reduction, so they will cost $53.  Option 2 students will be the same as below - $14.
