Head Start is a federal program for preschool children from low income families.  Head Start's educational program is designed to meet each child's individual needs.

Every child receives a variety of learning experiences to foster intellectual, social and emotional growth.

The classroom is designed to promote emergent literacy through developmentally appropriate practices.  Children participate in indoor and outdoor play.  They are encouraged to express their feelings and to develop self-confidence and demonstrate the ability to get along with others.
