Fourth grade teachers and students at Peete Elementary are
looking forward to a year of comprehensive teaching and learning.
The curriculum will cover skills that are not only age appropriate but will encourage students to become lifelong learners as well. Students will engage in hands-on activities, cooperative learning and enrichment activities. Basic core subjects (Math, Reading, Writing, Language Arts, Social Studies and Science) are taught using the materials that will keep students engaged in their own learning. Students spend time daily reading for enjoyment in addition to reading to enhance the skill of becoming a better reader. Various field trips are scheduled in order to add to his/her personal experiences. In order to assist children in becoming well rounded - art, music, P.E., track, writing workshops, volleyball, motivational speakers, G/T, student government and banking are activities that are presented on a daily, weekly or annually in order to enhance the student's day. Teachers, parents and administrators are working together to make sure that each child has a positive and successful experience during the school year. |
