Track begins with the end of basketball season. Both Girls and Boys participate on both 7th and 8th grade levels. 3 participants may compete in each event with a maximum of 5 events for any one athlete. The athlete may participate in no more than 3 events per sport. So if an athlete is in 3 field events, he may only run 2 running events. The District track meet is at Rose Stadium usually the first week in April. The Mustangs have dominated the district in this decade winning 7 7th grade boys titles, 1 7th grade girls titles, 4 8th grade girls titles, and 7 8th grade boys titles.
