Patriot D.A.D.S. (Dads and Dedicated Students)


Who are Patriot D.A.D.S.
(Dads And Dedicated Students)?

Patriot D.A.D.S. are fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and other father-figures who volunteer as often as possible during the school year. Patriot D.A.D.S. may read to students, have lunch with the children, share areas of expertise or information about their chosen profession, monitor school hallways, entrances and school grounds, assist with morning and afternoon traffic flow and mentor students. On your volunteer day, you will be given a brief schedule of the day’s activities and your involvement. Patriot D.A.D.S. will be required to wear their TISD Volunteer badge at all times during their volunteer day.

Why do you want to be a Patriot Dad?

  • You are able to serve as a father-figure and a male role model to students.
  • Patriot Dads provide a sense of security for the Jack campus based one
    their presence alone.
  • Your time and your involvement stand to offer all students what they need most, education, dedication and a hero……….and that would be YOU!!
  • How do I sign up?

  • Complete the Patriot D.A.D.S. Registration Form and return to school, indicating a date when you are available to volunteer.
  • Complete the TISD Volunteer Application on-line in order to receive your volunteer badge. Volunteers will not be allowed to serve on campus until the criminal background check has been completed and you have received your badge.
